In the aftermath of natural disasters, congregants and community members may face significant challenges. Clergy can be a resource in many ways, and this brief webinar seeks to give the basics related to:

•   Financial recovery (e.g., housing, resources, scams, identity theft)
•   Immediate social/emotional responses
•   Conceptualizing the overall role of clergy for congregants and community after a disaster

The goal of this webinar is not to retrain clergy comprehensively, but instead add to their toolboxes with “need to know” information that can make them a better resource for congregation and community. Presenters will provide handouts, underscore knowing when and where to refer, and are available as an ongoing resource if or when clergy need follow-up information. For a more comprehensive disaster response training, clergy may also want to consider registering for the June 15th Early Response Team Training.
