Financial Peace University for Pastors

A journey through Financial Peace University specifically designed for pastors and their spouses

I’d like to invite you to do something uniquely created just for you, Pastor. A journey through Financial Peace University specifically designed for pastors and their spouses.

It has additional elements unique to pastoral ministry, congregational leadership and stewardship ministry insights, all integrated into a nine-week class. Two classes will be offered conveniently online, one at 8:30 in the morning and one at 8:00 in the evening. Both classes start on Monday, January 25th and will meet every Monday to March 22nd.

Clergy have asked for their own place to discuss and learn about healthy personal finance. This does not happen in a traditional Financial Peace University (FPU) class. Bringing pastors from different denominations together for a clergy-only FPU program provides a place for comfortable conversations to strengthen financial skills and confidence to lead congregations to a healthier financial position.

Building on the success of a similar program offered by Ramsey Solutions, this FPU provides a new journey through the course in a virtual format. Participants will watch the videos on their own time and then come together for a weekly Zoom class. The programs will be facilitated by the Missouri United Methodist Foundation (MUMF) Clergy and Church Financial Ministry (C2FM).

As a pastor, you face a unique challenge – not only do you manage your family’s finances, but you also feel the financial tension of your entire church. You deserve a safe place to talk about money and learn how to handle money God’s ways. We we’ve tailored this FPU group to you and other pastors like you. Reverend Laura Murphy and Chris Bouchard will team facilitate this series to bring both spiritual and financial expertise to the class.
