Has a pastor made a lasting impact on your life or helped shape your faith in a meaningful way? Let them know they made an impact during October’s Pastor Appreciation Month.
One of the most impactful ways to say “thank you” is to honor that pastor with a gift to the Clergy & Church Financial Ministry (C2FM). Your gift recognizes the difference that a pastor has made while helping provide care and support for Missouri United Methodist clergy.
Your gift can be made anonymously, or you can include a personal note sharing why this pastor is special to you. The Missouri United Methodist Foundation will then make sure the pastor receives a message letting them know they have been remembered and appreciated.
C2FM is all about supporting the well-being of our pastors through tangible assistance, encouragement, and resources. Through C2FM well-being grants, clergy can receive financial help with needs such as student loans, medical or consumer debt, continuing education, spiritual retreats, and other opportunities that strengthen their personal and ministry well-being.
And this support is available to both active and retired Missouri United Methodist clergy.
When you make a gift to C2FM in honor of a pastor, you’re doing more than recognizing their ministry. You’re investing in the well-being of all clergy—and that investment can make a difference in their lives, their families, and the congregations they serve. For example, after 24 months of working with C2FM, pastors experience the following:
· Credit scores increased on average by 50 points, from 720 to 770
· Consumer debt was reduced by 46%, from $28,128 to $15,244.
· Student loan debt went down by an average of 39%, from $49,570 to $30,210
· 45 pastors reduced student and consumer debt to zero.
Honor your pastor with a gift to C2FM.
Thank you for recognizing the pastors who have encouraged you, walked alongside you, and helped you grow in faith. Your gift is a meaningful way to say, “Your ministry matters.”
