Review the housing allowance rules and discover why it shouldn’t be an afterthought at tax time.
Maximize your tax benefit surrounding the housing allowance.
Section 107 of the Internal Revenue Code allows clergy to exclude a portion of their income from taxation if used for housing. This housing allowance can be a beneficial tax benefit.
However, many clergy view the housing allowance as a tax burden or something to offhandedly consider at tax time. This session will review the important rules for the clergy housing allowance in retirement, examine the advantages of a housing allowance in retirement, and consider some strategies to maximize the benefit for you, your spouse, and your heirs.
We encourage anyone attending to bring your spouse, as this webinar will provide information useful to both of you.
