A practical conversation with attorney David Holdsworth about creating wills, trusts, and estate plans.
When we think about creating wills, trusts, and estate plans, there are so many questions — most of which you don’t want to ask with your dying breath.
Join the Missouri United Methodist Foundation and their guest, attorney David Holdsworth, for an informative, practical conversation on Thursday, June 17 at 7 p.m. for the webinar, FAQs About Wills and Trusts.
This webinar will cover questions like:
- Won’t a will avoid probate?
- What’s so scary about probate?
- Is my banker correct when they tell me, “just put your children’s names on your account?”
- Are trusts only for Bill Gates and Warren Buffet?
- If I signed a power of attorney at the hospital, do I need another one?
- How much of my estate will be devoured by so-called “death taxes?”
This webinar promises to be informative from a legal standpoint and will also be presented through the heart of a Christian teacher.
The Foundation encourages churches to share this information in their congregations, inviting everyone to attend. There will not be any solicitation of financial or legal counsel to those who attend. This is simply an opportunity for United Methodists across the conference to get answers about wills and trusts from the comfort and privacy of their own homes.
Our Speaker
David Holdsworth’s passion in the law is estate planning, drafting wills and trusts, and the administration of probate and trust estates. He has made a profession of sharing his expertise with his clients and generously shares his time in the community through education. He has a gift for taking the complexity of the law and explaining it in everyday terms. As a follower of Jesus Christ, David encourages like-minded believers to approach estate planning, not from the perspective of “to who do I want to leave my wealth,” but, rather, “who would God have me name as successor steward of that with which I have been blessed?”
