Introduction to Church HR, Staffing and SPR

Assuming many church leaders have never had a training in HR in the church, they learn from the school of ‘what we’ve always done’ with a minor in ‘learn it as you go’. Mix this with the reality that each year churches have new persons serving on S/PPR teams or helping with staffing issues, it creates a need for clarity and on-going training.

This 45-minute lunch and learn introduction to church HR, staffing and S/PPR training will cover topics such as: the relationship between the SPRC and pastor, legal responsibilities of the church with regards to employment and best practices for church staffing. We will end with some clarifying questions any church can ask to help you navigate the pastor-S/PPR relationship.

Participants are encouraged to attend the live webinar to ask questions specific to their setting. However, the recorded version could be used for future committee trainings.  When signing up, please note which webinar you plan to attend or if you prefer a recorded version to share with participants who could not attend.
