Creating student leaders not only brings vitality to the program and the church itself, but it’s also a way the church can equip youth leaders to serve beyond their local church and throughout adulthood.
On Thursday, June 29th, at 1 p.m. via Zoom, learn more about the keys to cultivating leadership in even the timidest youth. Presenter Matt Vaughan from Ministry Leadership Initiative (MLI) will share innovative ways of being intentional in creating leaders. His presentation will be an engaging conversation around the areas of context, ministry tools, relevant examples, and implementing a structure that is helpful to youth directors and leaders (staff and volunteer) in churches of all sizes.
This webinar will also include additional information about MLI and MUMF’s partnership to fund learning cohorts through MLI for youth and children’s directors. This is a great time to learn more and ask questions to see if a learning cohort can benefit your children and youth programs.

Matt Vaughan is the founding director of Ministry Leadership Initiative (MLI), a non-profit training organization in Kansas City. He previously served two churches in youth ministry for over 17 years – plus a few seasons in a Teach For America classroom and an architectural firm. Matt emphasizes grace and intentionality in ministry with young people. He holds a B.A. in Architecture from the University of Kansas and an M.A. in Youth Ministry from Southwestern College. MLI partners with the MUMF to support leaders in churches throughout Missouri.
