St. Ignatius of Loyola invited participants in the spiritual practices he developed to “examen” their lives on a daily basis.
Join us for a webinar on Thursday, August 12, at 1 p.m. to explore the notions of Ignatius’ Examen and spiritual freedom in the context of generosity, stewardship, and church leadership.
Participants will gain new language for generosity ministries and will offer an invitation to explore one of the most important questions of pastoral and church leadership: What do you love most?
The “examen” practice was designed to help people pay close attention to the movement of God in their lives. At the heart of this work was the notion of spiritual freedom. Ignatius believed that anything that we attached ourselves to inordinately would keep us from fully loving God. This webinar will focus on the nature of spiritual freedom and its relationship to stewardship, giving, and discipleship. It is ideal for pastors and laity seeking a better understanding of how prayer and spiritual direction can impact stewardship ministries.
